Starting from Maha Shivaratri in March and ending with Christmas in December, this article contains a delightful list of every long weekend 2021 is treating us with. We have also added suggestions of some exciting treks you can attempt during those long weekends below.
All you need to do is pack your backpacks, put on your trekking shoes, and head for the trails you have on your bucket list.
We present to you a long weekend calendar for 2021 below, making it easy for you to escape to the mountains as and when you choose.
March
The month of March is a fair time to travel and bid adieu to the winters. In March, the earth is happy, and the temperatures are moderate. The following are some treks you can attempt in the month of March.
Treks you can do: Brahmatal Trek (6 days), Kedarkantha Trek (5 days), Nag Tibba Trek (3 days)
April
April is an excellent time to witness the mountains embrace summer with a stunning array of colorful blooms. Luckily enough, this month has also ensured all the festivals fall on the weekdays instead of the weekends.
So what are we waiting for? Get packed and leave right away with your loved ones as these destinations are sure to make your vacation an extraordinary experience.

July
July, much to our disappointment offers only one long weekend. This is a grave injustice to the variety of treks and expeditions best suited for this month. If it is possible to arrange with your workplace to take a couple of extra days off, you can consider doing one of the longer treks suggested below.
If not, the Bhrigu Lake Trek would be a good match for this weekend.

August
In this month, the long weekends have, as a special treat, managed to arrange themselves back to back. Much like April, October has plenty of festivals falling on the weekdays, thanks to Navratri. Surrender yourself to the landscapes of the Himalayas this month.
