Every year in the last week of December we usually start planning parties and making plans with our close friends and family for the D-day. Be it a wild party, or a family dinner there’s always something to do on the new year’s eve. Though it does get unexciting to have the same plan year after year.

The Brahmatal Trek is one of the most beautiful Himalayan treks. This trek to the glacial lake has a mesmerizing trail and offers some of the best views of many Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nandaghunti, Chowkhamba, Nilkanth, Kamet, Hathi, and Ghoda peaks. The famous Roopkund trail can also be seen from the Brahmatal trail. The snow-covered trail makes this trek a favorite among many.

Hamta Circle Trek is another short trek, perfect for those who have only a few days to spare. An easy level trek is a heaven for beginners. The trek has snow-covered trails and goes through thick Deodar and Oak forests. These forests on the trail are often visited by shepherds and their flock, and other animals like ibex, brown bears, monals, choughs, and vultures. Since this trek is still a little unexplored, it is a great option for those who want to spend their time in close proximity to untouched natural surroundings.

Goecha La Trek is not for the faint-hearted. In order to do this trek, you require some prior experience of trekking in the Himalayas. The trail of this trek is regarded as one of the most beautiful. The varied flora and fauna found on this trek make it especially more beautiful. The major highlight of this trek is that you can see the southeastern face of the world’s third highest peak, Mt.Kanchenjunga from the trail. Lake Samiti and the reflection of Mt.Pandim in the lake is another major attraction of this trek.
