Last updated: 02-07-2018

Hampta pass is gifted with splendid view of mountains, rocky terrains, grasslands and of course lot of streams. Hampta pass is the live version of most admired landscape paintings.

Day 1: Straight out of canvas like scenic beauty of Chika

Imagine walking through a grassland, outlined with the coniferous trees, the grandeur rocky mountains, mild showers and clouds clinging to the valley! Yes, that’s the view we get on the way to Chika.

Day 2: Streams and waterfalls and... more streams on the way to Balu Ka Gera

Balu Ka Gera is known for its amazingly beautiful camp site where you get to camp right across the stream, near to snow clad mountains. But I must tell you that the trail is equally beautiful as well. Adorned with lot of waterfalls and streams, you get the most amazing view of the valley, as you march towards the Balu ka Gera camp site.

Day 3: The snow bridge at Hampta Pass crossing

Hampta Pass is little different that other pass crossings. In most of the mountain passes you climb up a rocky patch and then get down at the other side. Hampta Pass also have a same topography of moraines and boulders but with twists and turns. Enjoy your walk over snow bridge where you can literally hear river flowing down the snow sheet and yes goodluck for the slippery muddy mountain that you are going to descend through!

Day 4: Say Hello to the morning with the most chilled experience of river crossing at Sheagoru

Today you are going to descend down a rocky mountain. Sounds easy? But before that you have to cross a stream first thing in the morning, carrying glacier water. Mind the fact that the temperature of water is going to be not more that 1 or 2 degree celcius, you are going to get brain freeze!!
