Emergency First Response (EFR) course is a theory course in scuba diving for those who wish to enroll in the Rescue Diver course since this is a pre-requisite. This one day course is an accredited CPR and First aid program that helps divers by providing skills they need to potentially save lives in case of a medical emergency. This will be a theory based 1 day course that does not involve diving. You will carry out skills for assisting patients, who are not breathing, have no heartbeat, spinal cord injury, heavy bleeding or someone who is in shock. You will also provide first aid to alleviate pain and lessen risks both in adults and children. Those who have a certification in Advanced Open Water course and wish to take up the Rescue Diver course then EFR course is mandatory. Once your EFR is approved by your instructor then you will receive a PADI certification in EFR. PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world's leading scuba diver training organization and will introduce you to new underwater activities and even make a career out of it. You will be taught PADI EFR theory. Complete skill development in Primary and secondary care. There will be an exam following this, Upon successful completion, you will be given a PADI certificate in Emergency First Response (EFR) in diving.
