These are things you will learn in your courses as well, but it’s good to have a fair idea of what you are getting into before you actually start.

Step 2: Take a Beginner Ski Lesson

Once you have your basics in place, you are now ready to take your first ski lesson. This will teach you the basics of skiing, such as how to stand, turn, and stop. A good ski instructor will also be able to help you choose the right terrain for your skill level and provide you with feedback on your technique. Our Introduction to Skiing Course is perfect for a first brush with the sport.

Step 3: Practise Regularly

Now that you have taken your first lesson and learnt some basic techniques like standing, walking and stopping with your skis, the key to getting to stage 2 is ‘practice’. Try to hit the slopes at least a few times each season. As you become more comfortable on the slopes, you can start to challenge yourself with more difficult terrain. Don’t stop at one, take more lessons and advance in your journey of mastering this sport.

Step 4: Take More Advanced Ski Lessons

Once you have mastered the basics of skiing after enough practice, you may want to consider taking more advanced ski lessons. This can help you learn new techniques and improve your overall skiing skills.

Step 5: Ski with more experienced skiers

One of the best ways to learn new things and improve your skiing skills is to ski with more experienced skiers. They can give you tips and feedback on your technique, and also help you choose the right terrain for your skill level.

Step 6: Don't be afraid to fall and remember to HAVE FUN

Everyone falls when they are learning to ski. It is part of the process. The important thing is to get back up and keep trying. Skiing is a great way to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors. So relax, have fun, and enjoy the journey.
