Brief Description
Situated in the lap of Dhauladhar mountains, Triund is an Ideal Trekking destination for weekends. Its an easy hike suited for people of all age groups & experience level. The 9 Km trek begins from Mcleaddganj. The town of Mcleadganj is also known as little Lhasa for its vibrant Tibetan culture. The route passes through Galu Devi Temple. The trail passes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar, and rhododendron. The view of Dhauladhar range from here is awe- inspiring & exhilarating. This trail is quite crowded as it attracts a lot of people for its beauty & ease of doing. If you prefer solitude and looking for a little more challenging trail you can continue upward from Triund for Indrahar Pass. It is famous for the splendid views of sacred peak of Mani Mahesh Kailash and the snowcapped Pir Panjal Range.

Mcleodganj (1785 mts) - Triund (2875 mts) 9 kms Trek/3-5 Hrs
Report in Dharamshala by 8 AM. Mcleodganj is 5 Kms from Dharamshala. We will travel by Auto/Taxi. Trek begins from Mcleodganj. The trek from Mcleodganj to Galu Devi temple is a bit tiring. Further from Galu Devi it is a mix of easy and moderate section of ascent. The last section of today’s trek comprises of "22 curves" and it is steeper than the rest of the trail. Enjoy the evening view from Triund with a hot cup of tea. Retire to bed after dinner. Stay in Camps.
Triund – Laka (3300 M) – Mcleadganj 19 Kms Trek/ 7-8 Hrs
On this day, wake up early in the morning as the view from Triund is magnificent at this time. Take a deep breath and absorb the view of mighty Dhauladhar ranges. After breakfast, start trek to Laka Pass. It takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach Laka. The first milestone in today’s trek is Snowline Cafe, which is around 2 km from Triund and then comes Laka, which is around 3 km further from snowline. The route till Snowline is mostly uphill and from snowline to Laka Pass consists of flat plains and downhill. After spending some time at Laka, we will start decent to Mcleadganj. It will take 4-5 Hours to Reach Mcleadganj. Expect to reach Mcleadganj by 6 PM. You may plan you return accordingly.
