Dudhsagar Falls Trek
The Dudhsagar falls is around 60 km from Panaji, which is the capital of Goa. These waterfalls are a sight that you cannot miss. The water falls from a height of 310 m and it looks mesmerizing. The trail of this trek is through the Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary and has the river Mandovi flowing alongside it. Unlike any other trek, you cross railway tracks to reach the waterfall. The Dudhsagar trek takes 2 days to complete and it starts from Castle Rock. Take a refreshing dip in the Dudhsagar waterfalls and enjoy the fruits of your toil at the end of the trek.
This trek is good for beginners as well as experienced trekkers as it is quite different from a usual trek.

Since it is a beginner’s trek, you need no special prior experience. Although one is required to have mental preparedness and stamina before he begins the trek. Running exercise is recommended.
Carry a backpack with rain cover, good trekking shoes, water bottles, quick dry clothes, trekking pole (optional)
The base of the trek is the Castle Rock station which can be reached by taking trains from either Panaji, Goa or Bangalore, Karnataka. The Castle Rock station is at a distance of 30km from Panaji which can be reached by taxi as well
There is a lack of proper to almost no cellular network beyond Castle Rock
The Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary is a popular attraction along with the pretty villages of Collem and Malconda. Panaji, being the capital is at a distance of 30km gives you access to an array of beautiful beaches.
You can find accommodation in Castle Rock as well as camp near Dudhsagar Falls.
