A little over 2000 m from sea level, Manali in the lush green Beas valley of Himachal Pradesh is one of the best hill stations in India. It has lofty peaks and verdant surroundings which make the region highly suitable for enjoying the Himalayan nature. Not only for sightseeing, but mountain adventure as it beckons from every of the hill station’s directions.Talking about adventure, the region is very much recognized for its numerous skiing possibilities. It receives a good amount of snowfall and its prime skiing zones are easily accessible from the main town of Manali. Owing to this, enthusiasts from all over the world travel to this place every year (especially in the winter months).
Arrival in Solang. Gear and safety information sessions
We will pick you up from the Manali bus stand area at 8: 00 AM and drive to Solang (40 Minutes). Welcome and check in to your Rooms at the hotel. After welcome drinks, we’ll run you through the program outline including goals and training objectives. After breakfast meet key Ski & SnowBoard School representatives and trainers and also collect your Snowboard and Shoes. Today we’ll also hold gear information sessions and there’ll be an opportunity to select the ski colors and shoes. Later move to Ski Slopes and will be a full half day on the snow including a short lesson to stand and balance with ski/ snowboard and a chance to get your legs back into action. Back to Ski School and Lunch and Dinner.

Your first training days will be focused around developing your personal Ski/snowboard skills. You’ll learn about Stance and Balance and get an introduction to the Core Competencies. Training will cover level 1-3 teaching progressions.

You will learn about rotation, edging and cover Core Competencies in more detail. One Indoor sessions will include ‘Leadership Training’ and the ‘Forces in Skiing’. Video Analysis will be a chance to identify areas for personal improvement. By the end of this training block you have an understanding of the fundamental skills and the level 1 course standards.

Skiing competition & departure from Solang
After Breakfast Skiing competition would be held and course certificates would be awarded. After the competition checkout from the hotel. We will drop you to Manali Bus Stand by 4:00 PM for onward journey. You are advised to keep a buffer of 2-3 hours in your return bus timing to account for any unexpected delays.
