Joshimath is a quaint hill station in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Located in the Garhwal region, Joshimath is a gateway to some of the best trekking routes that take you deeper into Garhwal Himalayas. Snow clad mountains along with Alakananda flowing in all its might add to the beauty of this picturesque town. Joshimath is also home to the shrine of Lord Badri when the pilgrimage to Badrinath becomes impossible in the winters.
